Questions the index can answer.
These are the questions techstack is built to answer. Each company page and tool page states its own answer in the first paragraph.
-
What is techstack?
techstack is a lookup for the software a company runs in public. Enter a name or domain and it reports the products it can match from that site, together with a mapped profile when the company is in the index. The index currently maps 25 companies.
-
How does a techstack lookup work?
A live lookup fetches the public homepage, then reads script addresses, response headers, and DNS records. Those signals are matched to a catalog of known products. Mapped companies also include a maintained profile. Each result names the tool, what it is for, and whether it came from the profile or from the live read.
-
What is a technology stack?
A technology stack is the set of products a company uses to build and operate its service. In this index that includes hosting, frameworks, databases, analytics, payments, authentication, email, support, monitoring, and AI APIs.
-
How current is the stack data?
Mapped profiles are maintained with the index. A live lookup is cached for six hours after someone runs it, so a repeat search returns the same read instead of fetching the site again. A site that blocks automated reads, or that ships no recognizable third-party scripts, can return a short stack or none.
-
Can techstack look up any website?
Yes. Any public domain can be submitted from the homepage. Companies in the mapped index have a profile page with their known tools. Other domains are read live from the homepage at https://techstack.genedai.me/?q= followed by the domain.
-
How do sponsor slots work?
Twelve sponsor slots sit beside the lookup. A slot is 500 US dollars for 30 days and goes live after Stripe confirms payment. Open slots are visible on the homepage and on the sponsor page.
