How a stack gets read.
techstack reports the products a company exposes on the public web, plus a mapped profile when that company is in the index. It is a reading of signals, not a private inventory of a company's vendors.
Live read
The lookup requests the public homepage. It keeps script addresses, the server and powered-by headers, cookies set on that response, and DNS records for the domain. A signal is kept only when it matches a known product, such as a Stripe script host or a Vercel DNS suffix.
Mapped profiles
Twenty-five companies have a maintained profile: a name, a one-line description, a category, and the tools associated with that company. The profile is what the company pages list. A live lookup can add tools the profile does not contain, and those extras are cached for six hours.
What a page is for
Company pages answer “what does this company use?” Tool pages answer “what is this product, and which mapped companies include it?” The homepage is the interactive lookup.
